A day in my life.....

My sweet girls are always keeping me laughing. Just to give you a taste of everyday with them here are some things they have said just today.

As I am on facebook Jos and Abby are on their play computers. Jos leans over and says "What are you posting?"

Abby was crying all morning. So I tell her "Abby take a chill pill." She cries harder and I tell her, "Abby, I'm serious, take a chill pill or your going to take a nap." She sobbs "But mom I don't know what a chill pill is!"

Jos and Abby are playing dress up in their room. Abby calls "mommy Joslynn hit me with her wand" I yell back "Joslynn don't hit with it or I will take it away." Joslynn yells "I'm not hitting I am smacking!"

Joslynn and Abby are singing Santa clause is coming to town, they get to the part where he checks his list twice. They start fighting. Abby says he checks it twice Joslynn says he only checks it once. They continue fighting about it. Abby asks Jos "Why would he only check it once?" To this Jsolynn answers, "I don't know but thats why I got presents!"

It's time to do hair. I tell Abby to come get her hair done. She says "Mom remember when you did my hair yesterday? Can we just count that for today too?"

The girls are playing with their cell phones. Joslynn is calling Abby. Abby is not paying attention. Finally Jos yells "Hello! Abby, I'm calling you on your Iphone!"

Hope you got a laugh!

Dads surprise 50th b-day party

My dads birthday is the day after Joslynns so we told him we were going to do a dinner but we really had a huge surprise party! I think he knew something was going on but I don't think he had any idea how much! It was fun to see all of his old friends and family that we haven't seen for awhile. I hope he had fun we sure did. But it was definitly alot of work and by the time I got home the girls and I crashed. I'm sure my sister Jenny who is also pregnant did the same! I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted. There were so many people and it was so crazy I didn't get a chance but I got a few good ones. Happy birthday dad!

Bunkbed and moonshine

We spent the day today getting the girls Santa gift set up. They got a bunkbed from santa and new bedding from my parents. Since we have a little one coming we had to free up the crib/toddler bed Joslynn has been sleeping in plus make room in their tiny room for all 3 kids. Not to mention Joslynn falls out of the toddler bed all the time because she is too big for it. That girl is growing like a weed. Anyway it was cute to see Abby so interested in helping my dad and Phil put it together.

I had to take a picture of her little moonshine as she helped. It was SO cute! She is such a plumber all the time. lol

I think it turned out really cute and it will be even better when we dejunk it all and get their Christmas toys organized. They are so excited to sleep in it tonight I might take advantage of it and put them down a little early! :)

Joslynns Birthday

Since Joslynns birthday is on a Sunday this year (tomorrow) we took her to Applebees tonight. She made sure everyone knew it was her Birthday dinner.

She was not too sure when they started singing to her.

But after she was all smiles. She has been talking about them singing to her all night!

I can't believe my baby girl is going to be 3 tomorrow. It is so wierd. On one hand it's like I can't believe she is only 3 because she is as big as Abby and wears a 5t in clothes. But on the other hand she is my baby and I remember when she was born like it was yesterday. I love you Jos and I hope you have a wonderful birthday!

To go or not to go.....that is the question

So we have been faced with a little dilemma. We thought we had timed this pregnancy perfectly so that spring semester would be out and I could just take summer off and go back in fall. Come to find out we actually timed it horribly. After my ultrasound I am due May 7Th and we just found out that my last final is may 6Th. Hmmm....this is not good. With Abby I was induced because I was 4 days late, with Joslynn I was induced 2 weeks early due to complications. So will this be the time that I go into labor by myself? Who knows. Normally I would not worry and just go and let whatever happens happen but after talking to my teachers I have found that if I were to go into labor and miss a final they could not let me retake it due to certain deadlines and the earliest they would allow me to take the finals is the 3rd. So what to do? The biggest problem we have is if for some reason I went even a little early and had to miss a final I would not only have to retake all my classes but we would have to repay FASFA anything that they gave us. Now I don't know about any of you but there is a reason why we qualify for FASFA in the first place, we can't afford to pay for me to go to school. Another thing that my husband so kindly brought up is how badly I deal with stress. I stress over little details so when the big details hit I pretty much break down. Not good for either me or baby. So do I risk failing my classes to get another semester under my belt? Or do I play it safe and take the next two semesters off? This is the decision that I have to make. And let me tell you I am very stressed about it!

I love you baby brother

Both the girls are always asking how their baby is doing. Whenever they come back from their dads it is one of the first things they ask. This morning Joslynn crawled onto my stomach and started hugging and talking to the baby. "I love you baby brother. I love you way much."

Date Night

For our date night this week we went with some friends to see the lights at Temple Square. It was quite the experience! First of all we chose the night that Natalie Cole was performing with the Tab choir so it was PACKED! Second of all we parked and took Trax, also packed. We almost missed the train so you can picture us full out running to catch it, of course with the pregnant one (me) bringing up the rear and lets face it trying not to pee my pants as I ran. And third it was just flat out FREEZING! But it was pretty and it ended up being a pretty good night cause I was with my wonderful husband who always made sure I was doing ok and had a seat on the train.

Getting it out in the open

I made comment on my mom's facebook recently that has cause quite an uproar. She was having a hard day and was offended by a comment made about her surgery. I offered my support in a way that turned out to have offended many family members. To anyone I have offended I am sorry. It was not my intent. I only wanted to make my mom feel better. Please accept my apology and I truly am sorry that people feel that I am unstable and dramatic. My intentions were not to hurt anyone and I am sorry about the way I went about it.

Mr. Elf

When Abby was really little we recieved a Christmas gift from a friend in the ward. It was a little elf. It came with intructions. The elf watches the kids every minute and can see them no matter where they are. Since Santa is very busy right now everynight the elf reports back to him on if the kids were good that day or not and when they wake up the elf has "magically" moved to a new hiding place. Last year this little elf was our life saver! The girls would wake up every morning and look for it and every time they started to do something naughty all I had to say was uhoh I hope the elf won't tell Santa about that. Today Abby and Joslynn were picking up some crayons that had spilled and Abby asked Jos to move cause she was standing on some. The next thing I knew Joslynn had full out punched Abby right in the face closed fist and all. As she cried in time out I remembered the elf. I think it's time to get him out. Just in case any of you with small children need a good idea this year! I love this elf and wish I could keep him out year round! I will post a picture later when I can safely get him out of his box without little eyes around. :)

A wonderful family

This is my cousin Brent, his wife Brittney, and their 4 1/2 year old Oaklee. They are the cutest family and they just announced that they have decided to add to their little family through adoption. We are so excited for them!!!
According to the adoption agency, one of the most successful ways of finding a baby is through friends of a friend of a friend. So, I am spreading the word to everyone I can.
Brent and Brittney met in high school because Brittney's brother is Brent's best friend. Then years later they decided to get married. They waited for Oaklee to come for 4 years and have been wanting another baby since then. After many tests, trials, and fertility treatments, they have decided that the miracle of adoption is the way to add another one to their home. We hope that they will be able to add another little one soon! Earlier this year, when Oaklee was asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, she simply stated that she wanted to be a sister. She is an absolute sweet heart.
They are such a fun family. Lets help them get the baby they deserve. Please let me know if you know someone and I will let you know when I have more details.
Thanks everyone!!!!!

Americas next top model? I think so!

When I am sick (which has been alot) Abby and Joslynn are so good to just lay in bed with me and watch movies. This picture is one I took of Joslynn when she was snuggling with me. I think she looks like a model in it! Ignore the fact that she is in her panties though. We don't need that type of modeling in the family lol. I love my girls so much and I am so thankful that they are so willing to take care of me!

Halloween fun!

We had so much fun with the girls this year. Abby was beautiful Belle and Joslynn was the cutest little witch. We went to a few houses trick or treating but the girls were not really into it. They had more fun at grandmas and Grandpas handing out candy. What kid doesn't want to go trick or treating! Silly little girls.

Squeezing things in

Things have been crazy lately and trying to find time to do Halloween things with the kids has been almost impossible. With me having school every night that they are with me, Abby in preschool and Phil working 2 jobs and starting his own company there has not been a second to do pumpkins. So this afternoon Abby didn't have school so we decided that it was now or never. Carving pumpkins is not my favorite thing and we were scrunched for time so we decided to just let the girls color faces on their pumpkins instead. They had alot of fun and I was glad that I got to be there. I feel like I miss out on alot and I know that they are always doing fun holiday things with their dad so it was good to get a second to do something fun even if it was just an afternoon.

First SNOW!

This is us as we set out today in the snow! When Abby woke up this morning and saw the snow she asked me if Santa had come. I laughed and then tried to explain to her that we still had 2 more Holidays before Christmas.

Abby all ready for the snow!

1 year and counting!

Today is Phil and I's one year anniversary. It being Sunday we decided to celebrate yesterday. I woke up thinking we would just wing it but Phil had everything planned. And it was all a surprise. We got in the car and he took me to the Highschool and asked if he could run the mile. I was confused but said I guessed it was ok. He laughed and said he was joking. He then took me to the park where he purposed and pulled a picnic basket out of the trunk. It was very cute and he even had little umbrellas for our drinks.

After our picnic he took me to park city to window shop at the outlet malls. We had so much fun looking at the baby clothes and "fighting" about what we are going to be having. By the time I was worn out it was dinner time. We went to TGI Fridays (My favorite place) and had an awesome dinner followed by a movie that was not as good as dinner. It was a great day and I am so lucky to have you in my life honey. I can't wait until we can be sealed and spend eternity together. You are my life and your going to be a great daddy! I love you!

Mommy Joslynn time

I don't get alot of alone time with Jos. I get some with Abby while Jos is sleeping but it seems like Jos and I don't get any. So today while Abby was at preschool we skipped Joslynns nap and I took her out shopping. She needed some warm clothes and I am in desperate need of some maternity clothes. First we went to kmart. I have been trying to find decent priced maternity pants everywhere and this was a last ditch effort. No success, but while we were there Jos got to ride the mini Merry go round there. She loved it and even picked out which ones she will ride on next time. Then we went to Target and got some lunch together. We had fun eating there and we got some really cute winter clothes for her and Abby. By this time it was time to pick up Abby so we grabbed Abby some food from the cafe on our way out and set off to find her preschool. Randon usually takes her because I havent had a car so I had never been there. Luckily it was not hard to find. Then we came home and had a fashion show. They tried on ALL their clothes and picked what they were going to wear for the week. It was a fun day. I want to make time for the girls at least once every week where I get to spend some one on one time with them. They are so sweet and their personalities just shine ecspecially when it is just me and them. Mommy had so much fun with you today Joslynn. Thanks for being my little princess, and Abby I can't wait to have our girl time!

11 weeks 2 days

We had my doctors appointment today. Things are looking good and I even got the ok to exercise a little! I am so excited about this! We got to see the baby really clearly this time. It's arms and legs were moving like crazy. This baby was never holding still through the whole ultrasound. The doc was laughing at how much it was moving. We got to see the arms flailing around and the legs kicking like crazy. We are so excited about this and Phil says that the baby is active just like his daddy.

Our car!

So our car was found down town on Thursday. We were not notified. We got a message from our insurance company on Friday that they recieved a fax that it had been recovered and they wanted to know in what condition. Of course we didn't know. So Today (Monday) Phil and his mom spent ALL day at the DMV trying to sort things out. Because it was towed and left there so long there was a hefty fee that we are hoping insurance covers. We tried to fight it because we were not even notified but they were not budging. The car is in better shape than we expected. They took everything we had in it including the cd player and it smells horrible! They had to of smoked weed in it. Anyway apparently they were too good for my country cds cause they left them in it. Haha Phil they look all of his gangster music. Serves him right for listening to junk. Anyway they were idiots I can tell you that much. First of all they left all of their tools from ripping the cd player out in the car, second insead of just opening the trunk with the lever next to the seat (DUH you have all ready stolen the car, you just drove it!) they ripped the child seat hooks out in the back and pried the back seat open to get in the trunk. (um IDIOTS this was probably after they had smoked the weed) So some good news here. We now have two cars once we get the other one detailed (Last thing we need is to get unborn baby high) and it looks like insurance will cover what was in it except for our deductable!

Not such great luck

So things have been tough lately. Friday morning I woke up to Phil calmly telling me that our one and only car had been stolen right out of our car port. It was a stressful day full of phone calls and lists of things in the car. I will say that we have learned our lesson though. We had almost $2000 worth of stuff in the car. We have a $500 dollar deductable so we don't get that back but we will get some hopefully. We have been trying to decide if this was a sign that we need to move since our lease is up at the end of this month. This morning Phil went to get the mail with Joslynn and found that someone had broken their key off in our mailbox making it so we can not get our mail until they replace the lock. Things seem to be piling up here and all signs are pointing to a move but we just don't know where. Needless to say I am stressed! Our car was not the best but it ran and it's value is not enough to get another one that is in as good shape as it was. The insurance company made us wait 72 hours before filing a claim incase it showed up, so this morning we filed and they told us we had to wait another 2 weeks before they would cut us a check. But thankfully family has stepped in letting us use extra cars so that Phil can get to work and I can get to school. What would we do without family? I know I would be so lost right now! Thanks guys we love you so much!
PS I have deleted my pink collection that was on the side of my blog as most of it was in the trunk of the car. :(

School has been very hard for me lately and I have regreted starting it. Don't get me wrong I love it! I have fun doing it and I think I am pretty good but leaving the girls is getting harder and harder. Abby has started preschool and so she is gone from 12-2:30 or 3. She gets home and I have to get ready for school and drop them off by 4 so I can get to class before 5. I feel like I never get to see her any more and they are growing up so fast. I know it will be worth it in the long run but right now I feel like it was a bad idea. I miss my babies and my husband so much! By the time I get home at 10 I have to do my online class and go to bed. I have no time for anyone and I am so sick that any free time is spent throwing up. Anyway thanks for letting me vent! Here are my manikin heads that I work on. The man one Phil and I named Fabio and the girl is Ragina :)

A birdie is going to sit on it

This is Joslynns pout face. Whenever she does it I pretend my fingers are a bird and tell her a birdie is going to sit on it then I make my fingers perch on her lip and say tweet tweet. She would laugh so hard. Now instead of laughing though she just pretends to eat the bird and continues to pout saying birdie is all gone now. These girls are so wonderful and they brighten up my days!

Abbys new face

This is Abbys new face and it cracks me up! She pulls it all the time now and it makes my day!
