Tristans first outfit

This is a picture of Tristans first outfit! What a hansome boy!

Our surprise arrival!

A week ago today we welcomed the arrival of our sweet baby boy! Tristan Phillip Despain was born March 20th 2010. He was 4lbs 4oz and 16 1/2 inches long. He was 7 weeks early. On Thursday the 18th I got out of bed to go to the bathroom. Phil had already left for work and as I walked to the bathroom my water broke. I knew right away that it was my water breaking. There was no mistake! I called Phil and he asked if I had called the Doctor. I said no and that I had no clue what to do. I was so unprepaired! After a call to the doctor we were instructed to HURRY to IMC hospital. There I was put on strict bedrest hoping that we could hold off until I was 34 weeks. When I was admitted I was 32 weeks and 5 days. After 2 days of bedrest I was induced because of severe stomach pain. They were afraid I had an infection. Later we found out it was the early stages of labor not an infection and that I would have had him that day anyway. So after only 5 hours of labor and one contraction of pushing Tristan was born. He was rushed away quickly. Phil was able to go see him shortly after but I had to wait a few hours before they would let me. It has been a long week but Tristan is doing amazingly well! We hope to have him home by my due date which was May 8th. We love this little boy so much and are SO greatful for him in our lives. He is such a joy and we have been blessed in so many ways. He is so strong and everyday he gets stronger.

Silly and sweet

The girls are so silly and so sweet at the same time. I asked them to go get dressed and Abby was laying on the floor in her room after when Joslynn shut the door, on her head. It was all an accident but Joslynn immediately slid crying Abby on her lap to hug and comfort her and tell her how sorry she was. And between sobs Abby comforted Joslynn telling her that she knew Joslynn didn't mean to. It was so sweet and at the same time the sight of Joslynn holding Abby made me laugh!

Mommys helper

Joslynn is my little helper. She makes her bed every morning and then comes in to Kick me out of bed so we can make mine. After dinner she is clearing plates and washing the table. This picture is of her washing the table after she has cleared everyones dishes. What a sweetheart! She follows me around asking can I help? Can I help? I love her company and she is so sweet! She talks my ear off, telling me about dreams she had or things she plans to do one day. Like go to disneyland with mommy and one day go ice skating ect. She asks questions nonstop. Question after question after question. And just when I think she can't ask anymore she says hey mom? and I say What Jos. and she replies I love you. It doesn't get any better. Below are some random pictures of my little Joslynn and the joy she brings us. Her smile is contagous!

Who needs sleep?

Who needs sleep? Not Phil. He has been working a ton lately and crazy hours. From pulling all nighters for his personal training company to having to be in to golds gym in Sandy at 6am and staying up the night before with me so we have a little time together. I don't know how he functions sometimes. And with all this he still tells me to go take a little nap when I am tired or my headaches get too bad. What a guy huh? I don't tell him enough how greatful I am for him and how hard he works so we can live in a nice place. He knew how important it was to me and he does what he has to to make it happen. Thanks babe you are too good to me.
This is a picture that Joslynn took. He had pulled an all nighter the night before and this was his few hour break between shifts. Poor guy. You can't really see but he is asleep. I guess when you get tired enough you really can sleep anywhere.
